• YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Nik Norzrul Thani
  Chairman

  YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik Norzrul Thani has been appointed as the Chairman of ZICO Trust (M) Berhad with effect from 2^nd March, 2023.

  YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik is practising with Malaysia’s largest law firm, Zaid Ibrahim & Co. (in association with KPMG Law).

  YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik is also the Chairman of Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) and T7 Global Berhad. He is also the Chairman of Malaysia-Singapore Business Council (MSBC) and is currently Chairman of the Appeals Committee of Bursa Malaysia as well.

  YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik is also a director of several public companies including Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), Cagamas Holdings Berhad, Sime Darby Plantation Berhad and Pertama Digital Berhad.

  YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik graduated with LL. B (Hons) from University of Buckingham, Masters in Law (LL.M) from Queen Mary College, University of London and Ph.D in Law from the School of Oriental and African (SOAS), University of London, and is a Barrister-at-Law, Lincoln’s Inn. In addition, he also possesses a Post-Graduate Diploma in Syariah Law and Practice (with distinction) from the International Islamic University Malaysia, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (United Kingdom). He is also a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and has also been admitted as a Practising Member of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals. YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik was a Visiting Fullbright Scholar at Harvard Law School (1996-1997) and Chevening Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Centre of Islamic Studies, Oxford University (2004/2005). YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik is also a registered Notary Public.

  YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Nik is the author of “Legal Aspects of the Malaysian Financial System”, and co-author of “The Law and Practice of Islamic Banking & Finance” and “An Introduction to Islamic and Conventional Corporate Finance”.

• Chew Seng Kok
  Director

  Mr Chew Seng Kok was appointed as Director of ZICO Trust (M) Bhd on 27 November 2022. He is also the Managing Director of ZICO Holdings Inc (ZHI).

  He is primarily responsible for the business development and overall strategy and management of ZHI.  He manages the Advisory & Transactional Services business of the Group to drive the delivery of integrated services to clients through a multi-disciplinary platform.

  Mr Chew graduated with a LLB (Honours) in 1984 and a LLM (First Class Honours) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 1989. He previously practiced as a lawyer in Malaysia in 1985 before moving to work with Chapman Tripp in Wellington, New Zealand, and Baker & McKenzie, Singapore. In 1991, he joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co. where he rose up the ranks to become its managing partner in 2004. He founded ZICOLaw, a network of independent law firms in ASEAN region in 2003 and assumed the role of regional managing partner of the ZICO Law network in 2011. In November 2014, Mr Chew left practice to take up a full time role as the Managing Director of ZICO Holdings Inc.

  Mr Chew is acknowledged as a leading lawyer in advising the public and private sectors in Malaysia and in the ASEAN region on the development and financing of the large infrastructure projects, law reforms and complex M&A transactions.

  Mr Chew is very active in supporting the public and private sectors on promoting trade and investments in the ASEAN region.

• Dato’ Muraly Daran
  Director

  Dato’ Muraly completed ACCA examinations in 1974, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), United Kingdom and is a Past Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He was the Chief Executive of Amanah Raya Berhad, Malaysia’s largest Trustee Company from 2000 to 2003. Served as Managing Director of UBB Malaysia Trustee Berhad for a period of 9 years. Prior to his appointment by Amanah Raya, he also served in the Ministry of Finance as Senior Treasury Accountant.

• Jeevan M Sundaram
  Managing Director

  Mr. Jeevan Sundaram graduated with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom and is also currently pursuing a Masters in Islamic Finance from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF).

  He had previously worked in the banking sector, specifically in the areas of retail and dealings with OECD countries. He then continued his experience in corporate advisory, working with multiple trust companies and investment holding companies. As such, he had come to understand the dynamics of wealth creation and finance.

  Working with a myriad of affluent and sophisticated clients, he was exposed to the intricacies of legal & financial instruments and the malleability of their utilizations in the financial structures he helped build. Drawing from his legal experience, he had become adept in the art of the conceptualizing financial structures and their subsequent implementation.

• Dinesh Menon
  Chief Financial Officer

  Mr. Dinesh Menon graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia and also completed his Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia) papers. He is also currently siting for his Securities Commission’s Capital Market Services Representative’s License (CMSRL) papers.

  He has 17 years’ experience in the accounting and finance sectors having worked at KPMG, Schlumberger and MBf Holdings. He is also familiar with the trust industry having worked with multiple trust companies previously.

  His experience in auditing as well as a management accountant holds him in good stead to handle the assets under management at ZICO Trust (M) Bhd as well as ensuring proper maintenance of the cash flow of the Company’s assets under management.
